The DEEMYX butterfly mark

About & Ministry

I'm Dee Lopez.

Humility isn't thinking less of your intelligence. It's recognizing that intelligence doesn't make you immune to ignorance.

I write and pray about the space between who we are and who we're becoming. This site is my spiritual home: a prayer ministry, a research library, and a place to practice love on purpose.

The ministry

Prayer, not preaching

My ministry model is simple: prayer. Not sermons, not performance — a real relationship with God, and a room where other people can build one too: praying with people, for people, and teaching prayer by practicing it out loud.

The Prayer Room is built on a simple, durable idea: people praying for each other, and paying the kindness forward. The prayer ministry here is DEEMYX PrayerIQ — and the Prayer Room is its home. Its newest room is the Prayer Wall, where the whole community prays together in the open.

Ordained Minister

Dee Lopez is an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church Ministries, ordained January 1, 2023, with the authority of that church to perform marriages, baptisms, and other ceremonies.

The butterfly in the DEEMYX mark is not decoration — it is the picture of the change this ministry believes in: metamorphosis, becoming. “We evolve, we don't crawl.”

The ministry's anthem

Butterfly Gang Anthem 2.0

“We don't crawl, we evolve.” — Dee Lopez

Ceremony services (weddings, funerals) are part of this ministry. Full details will be published here as they are finalized.

The perspective

How I approach God

I separate Jesus, his teachings, and my personal relationship with God from the doctrines and institutional interpretations built later in his name. I would rather examine a spiritual truth than inherit a belief I never questioned. This ministry carries no denomination, and nobody here will assign you one either.

  1. Relationship over religion

Knowing God personally — through prayer that reaches past ordinary ideas of time — matters more than membership.

  2. Questions are welcome

Faith does not require abandoning discernment. Bring the hard questions; that's what the research center is for.

  3. Gratitude is a discipline

Praying in gratitude — even, especially, in the dark — is how I learned to drown out fear. Fear isn't prophecy.

  4. Love is the practice

Love is the best and only energy worth mastering. Everything here — prayer, study, service — is practice for that.

In my own words

From my own writing

“I let God deal with things when I feel my blood boil. It is so much harder to let it go, but peace. That is why God says … seek peace, pursue it. Those are verbs.” — Dee Lopez, September 2026

What you'll find on this site is honest reflection, not instruction. I share observations and beliefs as exactly that — mine. I won't tell you what your pain means, promise you an outcome, or pretend any tradition speaks with one voice. If something here gives you one clear insight, one deeper question, or one action you can actually apply, then it's doing its job.

DEEMYX PrayerIQ runs on prayer and the support of the people it serves. If this ministry has been a help to you, you can help keep it going.
